Officially named Traffic Law and Substance Abuse Education (TLSAE Class), this is a 4 hour online driver education class for the individual who has never had a Driver's License. Commonly referred to as the Drug and Alcohol Course, students must be a resident of Florida and at least 14 years old at the time of course registration.
The TLSAE online drug and alcohol course must be completed within 90 days of Registration. Your Completion Certificate is automatically filed in the DMV Computer system and can be retrieved at all Florida DMV offices.
You may take the online Drug and Alcohol Course at any time of the day, and pause or exit the course at any time. When you exit the course, your total time spent in the class at that point is recorded. When you Login the next time, you will enter at the position where you logged off. The Virtual Classroom is open 24/7.

After successfully completing your TLSAE Course online, the Completion Certificate will be electronically transmitted and on file at all Florida DMV and Tax Collectors offices after 24 business hours. You can go to any DMV or County Tax Collectors office in the State to take your eye exam, your road test and obtain your Drivers License Permit.
