New Jersey Point & Insurance Reduction Course
Did you know that you may be eligible to complete a defensive driving course in New Jersey once every 3 years to reduced your insurance rates? Our Defensive Driving Course is a 6 hour traffic school class and is approved by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC). By taking our online course, you will qualify for the following:
- Receive a 2-Point Reduction On Your Driver Record and/or
- A 3-Year mandatory 5% discount on your auto insurance.
Caution - This Defensive Driving Course CAN NOT be substituted if you received a letter from MVC to complete the Driver Improvement Program (DIP) class or the MVC directed Probationary Driver Program (PDP) course.

Online Course Features
The online course will take you 6 hours to complete, but is purposely designed to be entertaining, interactive and educational. The course combines text and animations to create an online experience that's interesting and interactive.
Any time you sign out to take a break, the next time you log-in, you are returned to the point where you left the previous session. Because you are attending in a "virtual classroom", you can use another computer, laptop or tablet at a different location to complete your defensive driving course.
The total tuition of your online traffic school course is $29.95. There are NO HIDDEN FEES or surprise charges when you register! The price includes the class, certificate processing and automatic filing of your certificate with the MVC and a digital download of your copy at the end of the class. (Many schools charge you an additional $9.95 for Certificate Processing and delivery.)

New Jersey Online DDS Course - Additional Information
We make completing your New Jersey DDC course easy and inexpensive. Our MVC approved online course covers a wide range of topics including Accident Prevention techniques, Traffic Signs, and the effects of Alcohol and Drugs behind the wheel. It also contains many helpful resources for anyone that is a good driver but needs a refresher on the basic driving skills.
Our internet class is very simple to use. You log onto our Secure, virtual classroom web site and Register online via your normal Internet connection.
Nothing special is required or needs to be downloaded. The Online course will operate on PCs or Macs, Desktops, Laptops or Tablets that are connected to the Internet. Nothing special is required or typically needs to be downloaded. (See Requirements.)
When you register for our online traffic school class, you choose your own password and Username to gain immediate access to the course. After registering, you will immediately gain access to the online course.
The course is 6-Hours but the online course will allow you the flexibility to log on and off the program at your convenience. You can complete the course whenever and wherever you want - all you need is a computer and your login information!
You don't have to complete the course in one sitting - our website remembers the section you last completed and puts you right back where you left off. And remember, if at any time during the process you need assistance, the ASI customer support team will be happy to assist you.
Upon successfully completing your New Jersey traffic school online course, your certificate is automatically processed and reported to the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC).
We will report your successful completion directly to the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC). MVC will directly update your driving record and give you credit for the course.
Additionally, you download a digital copy of your certificate when you complete the class. You save it for your records or you can print a copy and give it to your insurance company to receive your insurance discount.
